I was reminded yesterday that I haven't updated my blog in a while, so I am here to say I am sorry and get you all up to date on what's going on with my crew.
We have been so busy lately...David is looking for a job but that has been hampered by a severe cold. He's been up and down with the cold so much you might think he's a yo-yo. We are hoping that he will get hired at our local hospital in the billing department. First time he will be in an office, I don't know if he is fully prepared for that...LOL!
James has gone back to college and seems to be applying himself to pass this semester with better grades than last one. He really enjoyed being home for a month, working and seeing his friends, but was glad to get back to his own life in his dorm room. It will be interesting when he moves back home next year to attend college here, if he indeed does what he has suggested.
Elizabeth is starting to check out colleges for next year. She is also getting ready to take her ACT test and start applying to colleges. She has had some problems at school this year with some of the kids butting into her business. This has caused some trouble that has led to a suspension for her for 3 days but also for the other kid involved. She is now back on track and working on catching up to bring her grades back up. She has been on the honor roll every quarter.
Ben is struggling to keep his mind on the job at hand, that is to pass his classes by turning in his homework. He gets off track so easily, but his grades arent too bad, hes still on honor roll other than this last quarter. He is enjoying band and looking forward to playing soccer next month, he is even going to manage the girl's soccer team for the high school.
I have been my usual busy self with work, kids and other activities. Besides all my time I love devoting to Church, I am the Regional Registrar for AYSO Soccer in Trinidad. We just had our registration and now have over 300 kids playing with games beginning next month. This takes a lot of my time but I enjoy it, the kids are the best part. I plan on coaching for Ben's team and doing some refereeing for the younger kids.
David's health continues to concern and consume our lives. He is healing nicely from the hip surgeries but now he is having problems again with his stomach, back and other things. We have been back and forth so much to Denver that I told him we really need to consider moving back up there if he does not get the job at the hospital. We just don't want to uproot the kids before they graduate and with Beth in her junior year that's the hardest one of all. So for now, travel is our game...LOL! They are running tests to see what is going on with the stomach problems and will be doing a sleep study to determine why his snoring is so bad. I have resorted to sleeping on the couch some nights just so I can rest.
That's all the news for now, I will try to keep up to date a little more often, at least twice a month. Afterall, there isn't much that happens in this little town of ours. Take care and as always God Bless you all!!
