March 1, 2008

Well another month has come and gone so very fast! Another year is just flying by already.

James is just a couple of weeks from spring break and then just about 8 weeks from being home for the summer and more than likely he will continue his education here at Trinidad State Junior College next fall. He feels that a four year college curriculum is just a bit much for him to handle at this time so he is going to take his standard classes here and possibly get his certification as an EMT then work on getting his LPN license. Then after that go back to UNC to work on his RN degree.

Elizabeth has seen the struggle that her brother has gone through and has decided to start her college education at a junior or community college for a couple of years. She wants to get the required classes out of the way first then move on to her classes for her degree. I think she has made a wise decision. It will save us money in the long run. Beth made 3rd chair Flute and 2nd chair Piccolo in concert band, what a great achievement for her, we are so proud of her she has come a very long way.

Ben is starting to get in shape for soccer, this is the only sport he love to play. He is also going to manage the girl's soccer team at the high school this year as well as volunteering to referee the younger kids soccer games for AYSO. We are so proud of him as well as the other two kids for all their community service.

David has been actively seeking a job and we continue to pray that one will come along soon. We are also continuing to pray that the VA will up the amount of his disablilty very soon, we really need the extra income.

I have been putting in extra hours at work to help out but it never seems to be enough. I have been working hard to help get the soccer league going and preparing to get the kids off to Washington, DC in July. We have uniforms to clean and fit for the incoming freshman.

Well that is all the news for now, God Bless everyone!!
